Health Testing:

All of our parent dogs are screened for 200+ genetic disorders. This testing ensures that your puppy will not inherit a predisposition for certain diseases that affect these breeds. This testing does not mean that your puppy will never get a disease, but it does ensure your puppy with be clear of the common genetic disorders that a parent dog could pass along.

WHAT IS HIP DYSPLASIA?

Hip dysplasia is a condition that affects the mobility of the hip socket in large breed dogs. Often this disorder affects elderly dogs. Unfortunatly, there is no genetic test for this condition because it's cause is multi-factored. OFA or Penn-Hip screening of parent dogs does not determine the joint health of the puppy.

What you feed your puppy and how much,  play a large part in the development of their joints and their long term health.

Being overweight can actually cause hip dysplasia in a growing puppy.

Here are some tips to prevent hip dysplasia:

1) Feed a "large breed puppy" food to ensure proper nutrient levels and       growth rate.

2) Never over-exercise a growing puppy. Strenuous or rough playing          can put stress on joints and bones.

3) Take measures to prevent any injuries such as falling down stairs,         high jumping, or playing on concrete or other hard surfaces for              extended time.
